Ghost Squad has marked and unmarked vehicles that are used in the proactive detection and prevention of crime. Standard armed reaction units are backed up by a fleet of marked, specialised tactical vehicles that include Robbery Reaction Vehicles, Violent Crime Units and Critical Incident Command Units.
Reaction is not contracted out and our control center automatically dispatches reaction vehicles within seconds of a panic or alarm signal.
Ghost Squad Reaction Officers are fully trained and equipped and will climb over fences and walls wherever possible to inspect your property completely and effectively.
Our armed reaction vehicles are not permitted to park (stand off) and are required to actively patrol 24/7. Every vehicle is fitted with a tracking unit, allowing us to accurately monitor their movements day and night.
We actively participate in any groups (Residents Associations, Whatsapp etc) that have been created in our areas, allowing us to better understand that suburbs specific requirements. Areas that have adequate representation of homeowners that use Ghost Squad Tactical are assigned a dedicated reaction vehicle.
We work closely with the South African Police Services and attend their weekly operations meetings. This ensures that we are fully aware of any changes in crime patterns and allows us to be proactive rather than reactive.
